UMUMR
promotes healthcare ministries, including CrossOver
Ministry, an organization that provides clinics, and
community health care. Begun in 1983, CrossOver is a health care ministry that
serves vulnerable populations in the metro-Richmond
area that includes children, the elderly, low-income
families, the working poor, and people in crisis.
CrossOver eligibility criteria are uninsured
and low-income individuals and families.
Individuals or groups may choose to:
- Support
Sherbourne UMC to address facility needs for the
CrossOver health care clinic located in the church
- Volunteer
with Centenary’s “Bless My Sole” Foot Care
Ministry that is part of their Friday feeding
ministry
- Berryman Ministry Center of Mt. Pisgah ’s BEAR (Baby
Emergency Assistance of Richmond) ministry that
provides for new parents.
- Volunteer at a CrossOver
Ministry clinic
