Mission : 

UMUMR facilitates collaborative partnerships among individuals, congregations, and organizations to assure affordable housing, food security, childcare, educational supports, healthcare, and faith development in Greater Richmond

 ...that the Communities of Shalom model offers a healthy and holistic approach to community renewal.

    ...that strong faith communities are an essential part of healthy communities.

Strategies:

1.     Build strong relationships with congregations

2.     Form connectional partnerships (congregation+congregation; congregation+community organizations)

3.     Deploy Asset Based Community Development model (Communities of Shalom)

4.     Facilitate Communities of Shalom training & Plan of Shalom development

5.     Provide supports for Shalom Plan through Community Developer

6.     Partner with existing agencies for supports when available

7.     Lead with affordable housing development when indicated by communities
